Dcrocstyle Nig Ltd puts smiles on faces of indigent pupils in kwara

Worried by the obvious unpleasant experience faced by indigent pupils and students in public schools in the course of acquiring primary and secondary education in Nigeria, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), “Dcrocstyle Nigeria Limited” on Tuesday (January 14, 2020) flagged off the distribution of free exercise books to all pupils in 20 selected primary schools across Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The distribution exercise was hinged on the need to give back to the society by a way of giving hands of fellowship to indigent pupils.

The rationale behind the gesture, according to Dcrocstyle Nigeria Limited, was to enable the beneficiaries compete favourably with  their counterparts that were born with proverbial sliver spoon in their mouths.

The train of the distribution of the instructional materials took off from Ansar-Ud-Deen LGEA School, Taiwo area Ilorin where all pupils of the school were presented with copies of exercise books.

Other three schools that received the widow’s mite of the NGO on Tuesday included ECWA LGEA School, Oja-Iya area; FOMWA LGEA, Ojatuntun area; and Abayawo Community LGEA, Abayawo area all in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Speaking shortly after the distribution exercise, the Business Development Manager, Dcrocstyle Nigeria Limited, Mr Oboh Victor, said the gesture was part of meansures designed by  the NGO to assist the less privileged parents and guardians and  improve the  educational standard of the indigent children in the society.

Victor hinted that the NGO targeted 100 Public  schools in the state, pointing out that 20  schools have been earmarked to benefit from the first phase of the exercise.
He disclosed further  that Dcrocstyle Nigeria Limited had earlier conducted free Information and Communication Technology (ICG) training for large number of youths in the state in order to develop their technologically know-how.

“We realised during a meeting in our office that most pupils in Kwara are willing to go to school, but they could not because their parents or guardians do not have the wherewithal to sponsor them.

“We decided that we should produce exercise books for selected schools in Kwara State for onward distribution to the pupils instead of buying uniforms because of likely bottleneck in knowing their sizes”, Victor said.

Over 200 pupils of Ansar-Ud-Deen LGEA, 657 pupils of ECWA LGEA primary School, about 300 pupils of FOMWAN LGA and over 400 pupils of Abayawo Community LGEA Primary School benefitted from the free  exercise books.

He disclosed that four schools were selected from each local government in Kwara Central.

Mr Ibrahim Abdulrafiu, who led the team from the state Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in the company of the donor agency during the visitation to all the four schools visited on Tuesday, appreciated Dcrocstyle Nigeria Limited for contributing it’s quotas towards the promotion of the standard of Education in the state, saying that the name of the organization would remain indelible in the heart of the beneficiaries and the state government over this supportive effort.

In their separate responses, the Head Mistresses (HM) of the four visited schools- Hajia Sherifat Aleege of Ansar-Ud-Deen LGEA, Mrs Bamigbaye Falilat of ECWA LGEA, Hajia Sayedi Aishat Nnachin of FOMWAN LGEA, and Mrs Lawal Bilikis Alaba of Abayawo Community LGEA school – appreciated the donor agency for showing love and affection to the pupils and described the gesture as very apt, timely and helpful to the beneficiaries.
