The Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni Association, Nigeria (COSFAN) has applauded the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, for employing Miss Juliet Amenaghawon Ogbomo, a Lawyer at the Benin Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp into Edo State Civil service.
The association described the appointment of the female lawyer as a Senior State Counsel through the state Ministry of Justice as well deserved.
This was contained in a statement issued by COSFAN General Secretary, Dr Biola Adimula, on behalf of the President of the association, Dr Uduak Udom, and made available to Journalists in Ilorin today, Monday 13th of August 2018.
The statement noted with delight that the appointment of Miss Ogbomo into Edo State Civil Service was in response to the two requests the association made to the Governor after joining the IDPs at their camp in Benin-City, the state capital to celebrate 2017 Commonwealth Day with them.
It added that the female lawyer had since resumed work on August 5, 2018 as Senior State Counsel in the state.
The association thanked the state government for honouring its requests, which included commissioning of classrooms and modern facilities the former Governor of the state constructed within the IDP camp.
