The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, has lauded the authority of the Kwara State University (KWASU) under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, for providing students with quality education that stands the test of time.
Hajia Modibbo-Kawu gave the commendation on Wednesday (July 9, 2025) when she paid an official visit to the Osi Campus of the institution in Ekiti local government area of kwara state.
The Commissioner, who was impressed with the level of the state-of-the-art facilities provided on the campus, appreciated the university management for the effective utilisation of the infrastructural facilities, which according to her have direct positive impact on teaching, research and community services.
Mrs. Modibbo Kawu hailed KWASU’s pioneering efforts in imparting entrepreneurial skills to students, noting that this innovative approach has transformed graduates into job creators rather than job seekers.

She particularly commended the Head of Osi Campus (HOC), Professor Binta Sulyman for her commitment, dedication and tireless efforts towards ensuring that the institution achieves its purpose.
Modibbo Kawu, who paid homage to the Olosi of Osi in his Palace, HRM Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe Arowobeku I, also thanked the Royal father and the entire members of the neighbouring communities for providing enabling environment for both staff and students of the institution.
According to her, the level of the warm reception and great hospitality they accorded both staff and students of the institution go a long way in fostering a conducive environment for teaching and learning on campus.
In her response, the Head of Osi Campus, Prof. Binta Sulyman appreciated the commissioner for her visit and described her physical presence on campus as a morale booter to both staff and students on the campus.
She noted that Prof Shaykh Luqman Jimoh leadership is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that students are exposed to the right education that will prepare them for the future challenge.
Professor Sulyman however credited the notable progress on Osi campus to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment to providing high-quality education for the state’s students.
In his remarks at the Palace, Oba Abdulkareem pledged unalloyed support of Osi community to the smooth running of the institution.
