Senator Mustapha Donates N10m, Lecture Theatre, ICT Centre to Unilorin

The senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Sen. Saliu Mustapha, has announced a donation of N10 million, alongside plans to construct a fully-equipped lecture theatre and a modern ICT centre for the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ilorin.

Senator Mustapha made the announcement during the Annual Distinguished Personality Lecture where he was honoured by the faculty of Social Science, University of ilorin in ilorin on Monday 30th June 2025.

The landmark event which was held in honour of the Senator was based on the theme: “The Political Economy of Livestock Development in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects.

Speaking at the event, the guest lecturer of the occassion, who is also the Special Adviser to the President and the coordinator of the Presidential Livestock Reform, Professor Attahiru Jega lauded the faculty for organising the event and inviting him to speak on such an important topic.

The former INEC chairman descibed Senator Mustapha as one of a kind and one of the best senators representing the peoples of Nigeria.

“When you are looking for Senators who have represented their constituency and their state very well, and who are doing a commendable job for the progress and development of our country, there is no doubt that Senator Mallam Saliu Mustapha is among the best”, He said.
