A senior Christian cleric, Pastor Olupayimo Theophilus Bola-David, has declared that no pastor who is genuinely called by God would venture into ministry for the sake of personal wealth or financial gain.
Speaking to journalists in Ilorin at the conclusion of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Royal Covenant Assembly Church, Pastor Bola-David warned that those who commercialize the sacred calling risk facing regret and sorrow in the future.
“No pastor with a divine calling turns the church into a money-making venture. Those who do will mourn later in life,” he said firmly.
He emphasized that clerics must remain true to their spiritual mandate, adding that faithfulness to one’s calling yields divine reward, not just in this life but in eternity.
Reflecting on the church’s journey over the past 25 years, Pastor Bola-David expressed deep gratitude to God, describing His faithfulness as the cornerstone of the church’s growth and survival.
Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, “I Am That I Am”, he recounted how the ministry began humbly in a chalet gifted to him, and through divine grace, has grown into a thriving congregation with a permanent and impressive structure.
“The journey has been purely by God’s grace. From humble beginnings, He has led us, blessed us, and upheld both my family and the church,” he testified.
Also speaking ,the wife of the Presiding Pastor,RCA, Pastor (Mrs) Bola Payimo encouraged parents to always train their children in the way of God.
He also announced that the church has secured land to serve as convention ground
Mrs Payimo speaking with journalists at the event, said Pastor Bola Payimo is not just her husband,but also her mentor.
She advised wives of God’s ministers to always support their husband to deliver the message of God to the people.
Another Pastor of the church, Pastor Soji Sogunro in his remark expressed appreciation to all those members who have supported the church during the celebration.
The Presiding Pastor of RCA, Pastor (Dr) Bola Payimo, also expressed appreciation to God for His faithfulness over the years.
He congratulated members of the church across the globe on the success of the 25th anniversary and the 2025 edition of the church’s annual convention.
According to Pastor Payimo, although the church was founded 25 years ago, its annual convention began 18 years ago. “Since then, many lives have been transformed, and numerous testimonies of God’s mercy and intervention have been recorded,” he said.
He encouraged members to openly share their testimonies to edify others and glorify God.
The pastor also thanked clergy members from various ministries who honored the church’s invitation to celebrate the milestone event.
He emphasized that over the last 25 years, both the church and its members have witnessed remarkable growth and accomplishments, all made possible by God’s grace.
He said those who contributed to God’s house will never lack.
