19 Years of Giving: MIF’s Annual Cash Donation to Hospital Patients

The Ma’asalam Islamic Foundation (MIF), a charitable organization established by the late Justice Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi (CFR), has provided financial assistance to several indigent patients at the Ilorin General Hospital. 

This gesture is part of the foundation’s Ramadan outreach program aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community.

The foundation, has since the beginning of Ramadan, embarked on a charitable and Da’hawa tours across the state.

Mallam Jibril Toyin Ali, Coordinator of MIF, explained that the cash donation to hospital patients has become an annual tradition, initiated by the foundation’s founder, late Justice Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi.

Alfa Ali added that the gesture began 19 years ago, precisely in 2006, when the organisation was floated by the late Justice Akanbi.

He explained that the initiative was a confirmation of the late Jurist’s commitment to supporting the vulnerable and upholding the values of compassion and kindness, using Mustapha Akanbi Foundation (MAF) and Ma’asalam Islamic Foundation as  good platforms.

According to the coordinator, since the beginning of this year’s Ramadan, the Ma’asalam Islamic Foundation (MIF) has embarked on a series of outreach programs, visiting selected towns, prisons, and hospitals, as well as organizing Ramadan lectures, adding that those activities aim to promote Islamic values and provide service to humanity.
