Janazat prayer holds by 10 :am today

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the former Chairman, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adisa who died in the early hours of Thursday (December 26, 2024) after a brief illness.
Alhaji Adisa, fondly called by his peers and associates as MAOLANA, was a seasoned media expert and administrator, who departed this life this morning.
Alhaji Adisa was a frontline journalist as he reported for Daily Times Newspaper and later joined the services of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) where he voluntarily retired.
Alhaji Adisa was appointed the General Manager of the Herald Newspaper in 2003 and later become the state commissioner of Information after which he was elected as the Chairman of Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Late Alhaji Adisa was a highly respected figure in the media industry, known for his exceptional leadership and innovative approach to media management.
The media fraternity has lost a giant, whose contributions to the development of the industry will be greatly missed.
He was a kind-hearted, compassionate, and visionary leader, he died at the of 90 years.
The janazat prayer for the repose of our late Maolana according to a statement by one of the children of the deceased, Alhaja Maryam Kamaldeen, will hold today at Muslim Cemetery, off New Yidi road, Ilorin, by 10 am Prompt.
