Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN (1971- 2022)

By Gbenga Adebayo

On this solemn day, we remember with deep reverence my dear friend and brother, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN, who departed this life two years ago on November 20, 2022. His absence continues to leave a void, but his remarkable legacy of scholarship, integrity, and service to humanity remains an everlasting light.

I extend profound gratitude to his devoted wife and children for their determination to continue life courageously, upholding his values and ensuring his legacy thrives. Your strength is a reflection of the love and guidance he gave you.

To his sister, Honorable Justice A. Y. Akanbi, I express heartfelt appreciation for shouldering the weight left behind by our dear Muhammed. His Family members and Inlaws:Your steadfast support and care for the family exemplify the bond of love that unites you all.

I also thank the entire KWASU community for their dedication to preserving and promoting the ideals he worked so passionately for. Your efforts honor his vision and ensure his contributions to education and society are never forgotten.

In his memory, we offer this prayer:
اللهم اغفر له وارحمه، واجعل قبره روضة من رياض الجنة، وارزقه الفردوس الأعلى. آمين.
(O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, make his grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and grant him the highest place in Paradise. Amen.)

May the light of his legacy continue to guide us all. Rest in peace, dear Muhammed. You remain forever in our hearts.

Continue to Rest on Peace my beloved friend, MMM.
