KWASU is a model to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria- TETFUND Boss

The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Architect Sonny S. T. Echono has commended the management of the Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete, for thinking outside the box for the smooth running of the institution, describing it as a model for the future of tertiary education in Nigeria.

Arc. Echoio equally lauded the leadership of the KWASU for engaging competent professionals for the design of the structures and monitoring the delivery of the projects from the inception to completion.

Arc. Echono gave the commendation  on Thursday  (December 14, 2023) during the commissioning of the three TETFUND sponsored building projects, as part of activities for the KWASU ongoing 10th and 11th combined convocation ceremony.

“KWAWU has become a model for the future of Nigerian Tertiary Education” he said. 

He gave kudos to the management of the institution for the laudable achievements recorded by the University over the years despite the fact the it is a Self-sustaining University.

“I therefore wish to comend the Management of the University for not only following the master layout, but also ensuring the engagement of competent professionals for the design of the structures and monitoring the delivery of the various intervention projects executed from inception,  some of which we are assembled here to Commission today.

” I salute the visitor, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, the University Council, the Senate, members of staff and various project teams for the support given in ensuring that the projects are successfully delivered” he added.

Earlier in his address, the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University, Prof Shaykh Luqman Jimoh appeeciated the TETFUND for being helpful and supportive to his KWASU.
