KWASU, IBBUL to collaborate on academic research, community development

The Vice Chancellor of the Kwara state University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh and his Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University (IBBUL) Lapai conterpart, Professor Adamu Abu Kasim are poised to cement  a collaboration between the two institutions towards enhancing research output and community development.

The KWASU team, led by Professor Jimoh and some members of the extended management while on a visit to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL) Lapai, on Friday, August 11, 2023, described effective collaboration among Nigerian universities as a necessary ingredient for quality service delivery.

Professor Jimoh, who stressed that it was necessary for institutions to leverage on comparative advantage, called for cordial working relationships between the two institutions to promote excellence in academic research and national development. 

In his response, the Vice Chancellor IBBUL, Prof. Abu Kasim Adamu expressed optimism in partnering with KWASU, adding that such collaboration would be of immense advantage to the two universities. 

The IBBUL head expressed appreciation to the KWASU VC and his team for the visit, pledging to pay a return visit to KWASU. 

On the team of the KWASU Vice-Chancellor were the Director of Institute of Professional and Continuous Education (IPCE) who is also the Chairman of Admission, Professor Mubaraq Sanni; the Director of Physical Planning Unit (PPU), Architect Salihu Suleiman; and Mallam Is’haq Babatunde, Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor.
