Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the sum of N10,000 palliatives to each student of Kwara origin in public owned tertiary institutions.
A statement posted on the Governor’s verified Facebook page, says the governor also approved a stipend of N10,000 each for some categories of security agents defined as the first line of defence in Kwara state.
Recall that the governor has raised the bursary allowance for final-year students from the age-long N5,000 to N10,000.
The palliative was said to be coordinated by the state committee, including the representative of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS.
“I have also approved a stipend of N10,000 each for some categories of security agents defined as the first line of defence in our state. The stipend would be disbursed through the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) Office”, the statement reads.
