In compliance with the directives of the Federal Ministry of Education
and National Universities Commission (NUC), the authority of the Universiity of Ilorin has directed the immediate closure of the institution until further notice.
The Universiity, in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Mr Toyin Bamigboye, and made available to Unilorin fm, directed all the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students of the students to vacate the campus with immediate effect.
The statement said the measure was in a bid to contain the spread and the prevention of the pandemic Corona Virus (COVID-19) on Campus.
The statement urged students to vacate their hostels- (Public and Private) with immediate effect, while all International Students are advised to contact the Centre for International Educatiorn (CIE).ahd/’the Student Affairs Unit (SAU) for further interactions.
The statement however noted that staff are to report on their duty posts daily and should maintain high level of personal hygiene.
