NIPOGA fosters national integration- Kwara Governor

The Executive Governor of Kwara State state , Mallam abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has said the Nigeria Polytechnics Games Association (NIPOGA) has become a viable tool for fostering national integration among Polytechnics across the federation.

Governor Abdulrazaq disclosed this on Saturday (February 8, 2020) in his address at the 20th NIPOGA Games holding at the Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin.

Abdulrazaq who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Mr. Kayode Alabi  stated that NIPOGA has turned out to be a referring factor and a veritable avenue skills discovery among Nigerian youth.

He added that the NIPOGA games has also become  an avenue for integrating youths in Nigerian  polytechnics  for a healthy competition, love and friendship.

The Governor noted further that through the ages, sports have helped to build good relationships among nations in terms of courage, mental alertness, perseverance, discipline, fair play, societal groups among others.

“It is therefore pertinent that Nigeria places great emphasis on sport development programme to maximize the energy of our youths. As our students are set for this sport” 

He however urged all participants, particularly the athletes and officials to demonstrate high level of discipline, tolerance and sportsmanship.
