CoNS congratulates Adewoyin as new National Deputy Gen-Sec of NAUS

Students (CoNS) has congratulated Comerade Tijani Adekola Adewoyin over his inauguration as the National Deputy Secretary-General of the National Association of University Students (NAUS).

Comrade Adewoyin along other newly elected leaders of NAUS today (Saturday 21, 2019) took an oath of office at their inauguration ceremony held at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University-Igbariam in Amambra State.

Other principal Officers that were inaugurated included NAUS National President, Comerade Ijegalu Simon Felix and the association’s Senate President, Comerad Ibrahim Ahmed Lawal among others.

This congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the CoNS National Public Relations Officer, Comrade Hassan Abdul-afeez Olayinka and made available to Journalists in the country.

The statement particularly lauded the good leadership style of Comrade Adewoyin and expressed confidence that his injection into the NAUS would add more value to the association, particularly the interest of Nigerian students.

“We are pleased and appreciate God for the great feat you have accomplished in the past and we seek HIS intervention upon your life as you assume new office today.

“For everything good you contributed, contributing to the development of Congress of NOUN Students and National Open University of Nigeria at large, we believe you will serve well in your new role, a journey starting today.

“The entire National Open University of Nigeria, all stakeholders, executive members, SRCs, appointed officers, bless you and appreciate you for being an amazing image to reckon with.

“Personally, being your former SSA on Media and Publicity to your previous office as National President, Congress of NOUN Students (CoNS), I’m certain the National Association of University Students (NAUS) would be greatful for this mandate they have confidently trusted you with. I wish you a successful tenure and success in all your endeavours” the letter read in part.

The statement was also confident in the leadership quality of the National President, Senate President and other members of the deceside making body of the NAUS, saying that their composition is a round peg in a round hole.
