The Share Descendants’ Union(SDU), has on behalf of the Olupako-in-Council and the entire Share community praised the Kwara State Government for its pro-activeness in the distribution of palliative to aged and vulnerable in the community to cushion the effect of hardship occasioned by the COVID-19 lockdown.

A statement signed by the National President of the union, Elder Gabriel Yemi Jimoh, described the government’s palliative as timely, adding it had gone a long way in easing the effect of the lockdown on the aged and vulnerable in the community.

It advised government to continue to intensify efforts to ensure that Kwarans heed precautionary measures of social distancing among others as the phased and gradual easing of the COVID-19 lockdown began across the state.

The statement also informed the government about the community’s efforts in complementing its efforts of giving palliative to the vulnerable, disclosing that no fewer than 1,100 households and vulnerable benefited from the community’s palliative

The community also expressed gratitude to the AbdulRazaq-led government for its developmental projects in the community and assured the Governor of the community’s support at all times.

The statement therefore, urged Share residents to heed precautionary measures of physical distancing, hand washing among others in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
