A frontline Nigerian-based foundation, Mustapha Akanbi Foundation (MAF), has commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the appointment of one of its Trustees, Professor Muhammed Mustapaha Akanbi SAN, as the Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State Universiity (KWASU), Malete.
This was contained in a statement signed by the MAF Chairman, Board of Trustees Dr Mudasiru Salami, and made available to Journalists in the state.
The foundation, which was founded by late Honourable Justice Mustapaha Akanbi of blessed memory, described the appointment of Professor Akanbi as a step in a right direction.
“The Chairman, Members of the Board of Trustees, staff of Mustapha Akanbi Foundation and the entire members of Late Justice Mustapha Akanbi family, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to you and the Government of Kwara State for appointing one of our sons, Prof. Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN to the esteemed position of the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Molete.
“Your Excellency Sir, with our heart full of joy, we commend you for this appointment and pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to guide you to the right direction in piloting the affairs of the State of Harmony to a better place than you met it”
“We therefore assure you of our unalloyed support in moving our dear state to a greater height.Once again, we thank you for this appointment and pray for a successful tenure in office to you
and our new Vice Chancellor of the State University” the statement read in part.
The statement, however, congratulated the new KWASU Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammed Mustapaha Akanbi over his new appointment and ejoined him to make good use of his reach experience he has been able to gather over the years in piloting the affairs of the Universiity in order to justify the confidence reposed in him by the state government and people of the state.
“We sincerely congratulate you for your well-deserved appointment as the Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University, Molete via Ilorin by the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq on the 1st of April, 2020.
“In view of the antecedent of your wealth of experience in a similar Institution, Better By Far University, University of Ilorin, we have no iota of doubt that your tenure as the Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University, Molete, will be marked by a resounding success.
“We pray that Almighty Allah, the bestower of all favours continue to guide and protect you as you resume the mantle of leadership of the Institution” the statement added
While describing the new Vice Chancellor as a consummate admnistrator, an accomplished legal luminary, hardworking, and a goal getter, the statement advised the new KWASU boss to bring all his verse experiences into bear in the business of moving the institution to an eviable standard.
