The Cyber Security Expert Association of Nigeria has called on cyber space users in the country to be conscious of their activities on the website by always trying to ‘stop, think before connect’ so as to prevent themselves from the hazards of cyber crimes.
The Kwara State Chairman of the Association, Mr Saka Abdulqaudri Bolakale Dagbo made the call today in his address at the MALHUB maiden graduation and presentation of certificates to the pioneer set of the students who underwent six weeks training on Website Development and Graphics Design held at Mustapha Akanbi Library and Resource Center, G.R.A Ilorin.
Mr Bokakale said his association had begun a sensitisation campaign across the schools, organisations and other relevant agencies on the need to be security conscious while working on the cyber space in order to avoid compromising personal profile to hackers and malicious emails.
Bolakale who said the association is a non governmental and non profit making association stated further that his association would not relent in its frantic efforts to ensure that unsuspecting cyber users are saved from the agony of cyber crime.
He advised professional website developers to develop a standard website that will be difficult for hackers to gain access to the profile of unsuspecting users.
End.
