Abridged Profile of new Kwara Commissioner of Police, Egbetokun

 

The newly posted Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Kayode Egbetokun has assumed duty in the Command today. Cp Kayode Egbetokun hails from Erinja Orile, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State.

He holds Bachelor of science degree (Bsc) in Mathematics, Msc Engineering Analysis and a Certification in Electronic Data Processing and Computer Programming. All from the University of Lagos, Akoka.
He also possesed PGD Petroleum Economics from Delta State University, Abraka and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos State University Ojo.

Cp Kayode Egbetokun lectured Mathematics briefly at Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos before enlisting into the Nigeria Police Force in 1990 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.

A member of cadet Asp Course 2/90, Nigeria Police Academy, he has worked in several Police commands and formations across the country and held command positions at various times. Before his present deployment to Kwara state, he was the Commissioner of Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Commissioner of Police Servicom at the Force Headquarters Abuja, Deputy Commandant Police College, Ikeja, Commandant Police Training School Ikeja, Area Commander Gusau, Zamfara, Area Commander Osogbo, Commander Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Lagos, CSO to Governor of Lagos state, Squadron Commander Mopol 5 Benin, O/C Anti-fraud, FCT Command Abuja, Staff Officer (jnr) Plateau Command Jos among others.

He attended Close Protection Course at Dunkeswell Honiton, Chichester, UK, Combat Operation Courses at PMF Training School both in Gwoza and Ila. He participated in the recent Global conference in Chemical security and Emerging Threats at Lyon, France and has attended a host of other courses both in Nigeria and overseas.

A seasoned Police officer, disciplined and incorruptible, he is firmly committed to discharging his duties with vigour, honour and integrity. He believes in strong police institution as an indispensable tool for sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
