Kwara 2019: Read what Alapata community did for LP gov candidate

The People of Alapata community in Baaboko ward of Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday organised a special prayer in honour of the state Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Comrade Issa Aremu mni.

Similarly, the youth of the area, numbering over 500 under the aegis of Alapata Youth Ambassador, also unveiled a signpost erected on their own as part of their support towards the realisation of the Labour Party’s victory come 2019 governorship election and other elective positions in the state.

Leading the prayer session at Alapata Mosque, the Imam of Alapata Mosque, Alhaji Audu Sidiq prayed God to grant comrade Aremu all his accomplishments and make his intention to govern the state a reality in order to positively turn around the lives of kwarans.

Imam Audu described the LP gubernatorial candidate, Comrade Aremu, as the son of the soil, who knows where shoes pinches his people, hoping that the entire kwara will witness tremendous transformation if he eventually attains that exalted position as number one citizen in the state.

The Imam noted that Comrade Aremu has been very responsive to the plight of people around him and any body that comes his way, adding that he is an illustrious son of the state who believes strongly that one does not need to wear a political toga before adding value to the lives of the needy in the society.

At the unveiling exercise at Alapata area shortly after the prayer session, the chairman of the Youth Ambassador, Abdulhakeem Hussein said the voluntary erection of the LP signboard by his association was a demonstration of the love and confidence the youth of the area and beyond have on the candidacy of comrade Aremu.

Hussein said the signboard was a product of collective decision of his association as part of their efforts to lend their support to the LP governorship candidate whose vision and mission statements centered around the welfares of all and sundry.

He pledged the unalloyed support of the youth in the area and beyond to ensure that LP emerges victoriously in the gubernatorial election.

In his separate responses at the two occasions, Comrade Issa Aremu thanked the people of the area for the show of love and affection which translated into special prayer and production of LP signboard in his honour.

Aremu explained that his decision to vie for the governorship position was neither to enrich himself nor to seek for unnecessary political power, but to evolve people’s driven policies and programmes that will liberate kwarans from the agony of poverty and ignorance and provide them with an enduring prosperity through provision of basic amenities, revival of industries which will ultimately give birth to massive job creation.
