The Director-General of Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, Ilorin, Comrade Issa Aremu mni has joined well wishers globally to congratulate the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gamabari CFR, on the occasion of his 85th birthday today 22nd of April, 2025.
In a statement in Ilorin on Tuesday, Comrade Aremu celebrated the Emir for his consistent commitment to community and national development since he assumed the throne in 1995, adding that His Royal Highness “is a model in inclusive governance in a diverse Emirate”.
According to the Director General, the premier Labour Institute named after the iconic number one, Michael IMOUDU, had benefited immensely from the Royal prayers and the cancellation of Emir Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
Aremu said the doors of the great palace of the Custodian of the Shehu Alimi dynasty are always open to the management and staff of MINILS. He said MINILS is excited to witness the Royal Father’s history at the landmark 85 years in grace. Comrade AREMU recalled how His Royal Highness had graciously and severely hosted the Institute’s tripartite guests, including labour Ministers and the country Director of the premier Geneva-based International Labour Organisation ( ILO). Aremu said the nationally acclaimed transformation of MINILS in recent times in terms of infrastructural renewal, security of staff and assets, staff welfare and promotions, improved budgets, unprecedented host community relations and above all improved educational service delivery is attributable also to the guidance and prayers of the revered Chairman of Kwara council of chiefs.
While wishing His Royal Highness more years of service to Allah and the Emirate, comrade Aremu pledges his continuous loyalty to the palace.
