The Kwara State Government has called on residents who require interventions for surgically amenable ailments to consult the medical outreach created by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the Offa General Hospital.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina El-Imam, made the appeal on Friday (October6, 2023) during the second week of the ongoing medical outreach holding in Offa.
According to her, “I seize this opportunity to call on the public who require interventions for surgically amenable ailments such as hernia, cataract and other related diseases to avail themselves of this great opportunity provided by the Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.”
Speaking at the sideline of the event, the Deputy Director for Medical Services and Training of the Ministry of Health, Dr Stephen Arigidi, said the outrage was special because his team was able to integrate a woman who was in emergency need of caesarean section into the free health care.
“The team were able to provide free health care service for people across all the local government in Offa, who had trooped to the hospital to get medical consultation and appropriate drugs for ailments like hypertension, diabetes, eyesight, and so on,” he added.
