The Joint Staff on Internally Generated Revenue in the four tertiary institutions owned by the Osun State government have appealed to the state government to regularize their appointments with a view to incorporating them into the state civil service.
The affected workers are spread across the state Polytechnic, Iree, the State College of Technology, Esaoke and the state colleges of Education in Ila-Orangun and Ilesa.
In a letter addressed to the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, copies of which were also given to some selected traditional rulers in the state including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja 11, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun and the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, the affected workers urged the governor to consider them for permanent appointment.
The workers who expressed their plights to the Governor, stated that many of them have been on the same position for over 15 years.
Also, they informed that many staff of the institution had retired with no one to replace them, thereby making their work more tedious without commensurate renumeration.
The affected workers expressed concern on their future, as there is no hope of receiving any entitlement from the government after their exit from service.
They appealed to Governor Adeleke to come to their aid and turn their plights to joy as they believe in him for their turnaround.
