…As 262 kwara first batch depart for Saudi Arabia
The 262 first batch of Kwara State Pilgrims have been airlifted to Lagos for onward airlifting to Madina this same night Friday (May 26, 2023).
They were conveyed by two airlines from Ilorin to Lagos where they would depart for Madina by 11pm this same night.
Seeing the pilgrims off today at the Ilorin International Airport, the Kwara State Governor, who is also the Chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, rejoiced with pilgrims and prayed for them to have a fruitful, rewarding and hitchfree Hajj exercise.
The Governor, who personally entered the aircraft shortly before it took off, was moving from one seat to another to congratulate them and bid them farewell.
The spirit of the pilgrims became very high with the presence of the governor in their midst in the aircraft.
Also speaking with the Highprofile, the NAHCON Director of Internal Audit in Kwara state, Alhaji Abdullateef Abiodun Onimago, said 262 pilgrims departed Ilorin for Lagos, adding that they are expected to board another aircraft that will airlift them to Madina by 11pm today.
Alhaji Onimago however advised the pilgrims to be guided by the laid down rules and regulations both here in Nigeri and in Saudi Arabia.
Alao speaking with our Correspondent, the Chairman of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrimage Welfare Board, Dr Abdulkadir Ayodele Sambaqi expressed joy the successful take-off of the first batch of the pilgrims and prayed God to make it easy for the remaining batches.
Dr Sambaqi thererore advised the pilgrims to conduct themselves very well and make fear of Allah their watchword.
