The Executive Secretary, Primary Health Care and Development Agency (PHCDA), Dr Nusirat Elelu has commended the Grand Patron of the PHCDA, Dr Haliru Yahaya for his love and passion towards uplifting the standard of health care delivery service in the state.
Dr Elelu gave the commendation on Friday (September 11, 2020) while receiving the Emir, Dr Haliru Yahaya in his office.
Elelu appreciated the royal father for his unflinching surport to the Kwara State Primary health Care Development Agency by providing necessary assistance which, according to her, has been very helpful and supportive to the agency since it’s establishment.
The PHCDA scribe also thanked the Emir of Shoga for his fatherly roles in the area of moral support which she said has been aiding the Agency in guiding its path since establishment.
She also lauded the effort of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for his comitment to improve the standard of healthcare service delivery for the people of Kwara state.
She underscored the governor’s unique and timely decision for the renovation and revamping of primary health care centres across the 16 local government areas in the state, pointing out that the achievement recorded by the governor in that area was very spectacular and worthwhile.
Dr Nusirat, who emphasised on various factors that will certainly bring quality basic health care to the door steps of the people of the state, said all hands must be on deck to provide people of the state with quality, affordable and accessible health care service.
In his comment, the Emir of Shonga, His Royal Highness, DR Haliru Yahaya congratulated the Executive Secretary of the agency on her recent appointment and advised her to consolidate on the good work done by her predecessors so as to move the agency to the next level of development.
In his characteristic humility, the Emir discussed extensively some of the challenges facing Primary Health Care Service Delivery in the State and offered possible solutions to overcome those challenges.
The Royal Father, however agreed with the Executive Secretary on the need for urgent reforms in the Kwara primary health care system.
The need to domesticate the National Policy of Primary Healthcare Under One Roof was also discussed at the occasion.
