Onijagbo Hails Late Justice Akanbi’s Enduring Legacy

His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oba Sarafadeen Adeniyi Bukhari, Onijagbo of Ijagbo Land, has praised late Hon. Justice Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi for establishing  a charitable foundation.

Oba Bukhari gave the commendation on Saturday (March 15, 2025) while hosting members of Massalam Islamic Foundation at his palace in Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The foundation visited the palace as part of its annual Ramadan Da’hawa outreach, which aims to promote Islamic values and provide support to various communities and towns across Kwara State.

The monarch particularly lauded Justice Akanbi’s initiative and humane character which ultimately gave birth to this charitable foundation. 

He therefore,  pledged his unalloyed support to the foundation’s growth and development, promising that he would build on the strong relationship established by his predecessor, late Oba Salahudeen Fagbemi (Obembe II) of blessed memory.

In his lecture at the occasion, Ustadh Muktar Ibrahim Oloyin described Ramadan as a month of mercy,  forgiveness and purification. 

He However appreciated Oba Bukhari for providing the foundation an enabling environment to carryout its Da’hawa effectively and efficiently. 

Earlier, the foundation’s coordinator, Mallam Toyin Jibril Ali, outlined the organization’s Ramadan activities, which include visits to designated towns, hospitals, and prisons, where food items and cash donations will be presented to those in need and the less privileged.

The event featured a special prayer session, lecture, and food donation to the community.
