Ma-Assalam Islamic Foundation mourns Sarikin Gobir’s passing

Ma-Assalam Islamic Foundation (MIF), a charitable Foundation founded by the late Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi CFR, has commiserated with the family of the revered Sarikin Gobir of Ilorin,  Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Gobir over his demise, describing the deceased as a respected leader and pillar of the community.

In a statement issued and jointly signed by the MIF coordinator Mallam Toyin Ally and the secretary Mr Is’haq Babatunde,  described Alhaji Gobir as a distinguished emirate chief, renowned for his selfless service to humanity and unwavering commitment to the development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.

“As Chairman of the Governing Council of International Aviation College, Ilorin, he worked tirelessly to promote education and skills acquisition in the aviation industry.

“His demise has left a gaping void in the emirate and the state, as he was a respected leader and pillar of the community” the statement added.

The statement also condoled the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, entire emirate and kwara state in general.

The statement prayed Almighty Allah to make him a dweller of Aljanat Firdaus and grant his family, friends, and loved ones the fortitudeto bear the loss, stressing that his memory will be cherished, and his contributions to the emirate and state will never be forgotten.
