Some members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday defected to the Action Alliance (AA).
The defectors spread across different local government areas of the state said they decided to join the AA because of their love for the masses, saying the party is the only true party that has the interest of the downtrodden masses at heart.
Others who defected to the party were members of a Non Governmental Organization, the great vision who were until recently members of the SDP in Osun State.
The defectors were received by the national chairman of the party, Hon Adekunle Rufai Omoaje at the south west zonal meeting of the party held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
A former leader of the APC who spoke on behalf of the defectors, Prince Adegoroye Oladimeji said they are tired of the ruling party as the party was not keen about the welfare of the masses.

He stressed the need for the defectors to team up with other members of the party to take over the reins of government in Ondo State and the country at large.
He said the party is determined to take over the government of Ondo State not minding the current status of the party, as the members of the party are prepared for the task ahead.
