The super eagle of Nigeria has qualified to the next stage of the AFCON competition in Cote D’ivore by defeating Guinea-Bissau 1-0. The first half own goals by Opa Sangante of Guinea-Bissau was enough to send the super eagle to the round of 16.
In other games, the Equatorial Guinea demolish the host nation Cote D’ivore 4-0 to progress as the group A leader.
Two goals from Emilo Nsue, and one goal each from Pablo Ganet and Jannick Buyla gave the Equatorial Guinea an edge to lead the group on goal difference into the round of 16.
The ivorian who were wasteful in front of goals were punished and humiliated heavily in front of their own fans.
Many of the fans left the stadium before the game even end.
