The management of the Kwara State University has denied advertising to sell the university campus land.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the varsity Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee on Tuesday evening (December26, 2023), following the rumour that the university was advertising to sell some land on the school campus.

Part of the statement read, “The attention of the Management of Kwara State University has been drawn to advertisements for the sale of land in Kwara State University, Malete.

“For the avoidance of doubt, there is no land for sale in Kwara State University, Malete, or any of the campuses of Kwara State University.

“Any person or company which claims to sell or have the authority of the University to sell any part of the landed properties of Kwara State University is fraudulent and should be disregarded”.

However, the school management warned any individual or organisation that is willing to purchase the land to stay away from it to avoid being duped and stated that whoever fell victim to the fraudulent act, does it at his own risk because the school will not cede any part of the land to anyone.

“Any member of the public who acquires any part of the landed properties of the institution does so at his or her own risk as the management of Kwara State University will not cede any part of its lands to anyone,” the statement added.
