Instructor and Commissioner for Tertiary Education

The Kwara State government has called for a strong collaboration between the Ilorin International Aviation College and the Kwara State University (KWASU) Malete, to enhance productivity and efficient practical training for students in both institutions.
The state commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. (Mrs) Mary Ronke Arinde made the call in Ilorin on Wednesday (September 20, 2023) during her familiarization visit and facility tour of the Aviation College.
She assured that the present administration in the state under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, would not relent on its oars in giving priority attention to the College so as to aid it’s sustainability and progressive development.
Dr Arinde underscored the efforts and magnanimity of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for commiting to the sustenance of the Aviation College despite the meagre resources available to the state.
The commissioner also commended the management and staff of the College for their cooperation at ensuring efficient service delivery at sustaining the aviation college.
Dr Arinde equally urged the management and instructors to look inwards and expand the college to explore other areas that could be beneficial in the upscale of revenue generation for the college.
In his remarks, the Registrar of the College, Mr. Mohammed Jibril Jimada, who spoke on behalf of the Acting Rector, applauded the proactiveness of the new Commissioner for promptly addressing the plights of flight instructors and staffers of the college on her assumption of office.
He assured that training for the flight instructors would commence on earnest, having resolved the critical issues bothering the college.
Mr. Jimada pleaded with the commissioner to assist the college in facilitating approval of funds for the accreditation of Approved Training Organization (ATO), by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), in order to further enhance the college’s service delivery.
