The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON), Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan has called on Nigerian pilgrims to continue to support the Federal Government under President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with prayers and other necessary supports for us to have a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.
Alhaji Hasaan made call at Arafah during the National prayers held for the peace, progress and development of Nigeria.
The prayer session was led by the committee of Ulama, in which selected scholars offered prayers for Nigerian state to overcome all her trying moments, ranging from insecurity, socioeconomic crisis and several others.
The National prayers were offered in five different Nigerian languages: Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulfulde, and Kanuri.
The NAHCON boss however appreciated the Presidential support to the commission in executing its mandate and also thanked the committee of Ulama for their support and understanding.
The Chairman also gave details explanation about the tents and feeding challenges encountered by pilgrims in Muna and the measures taken to solve issue.
According to him, “the authorities concerned have provided a 10,000 capacity tents for some of the stranded Nigerian pilgrims.
“And that by tomorrow (Wednesday) distribution would be effected through the modules agreed with State pilgrim boards, agencies and commissions”.
The scholars also used the medium to pray for the leadership of NAHCON and commended the commission for working round the clock in ensuring a hitch free, successful, and seamless Hajj exercise.
