Hajj 2023: Consul-General lauds NAHCON’s outstanding performance in Hajj operations

The Consul-General of Nigeria in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Bello Husseini Kazaure has commended the management and staff of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for being strategic and for the display of outstanding performance before and during the ongoing Hajj operations in Saudi Arabia. 


Ambassador Kazaure gave the commendation today (June 8, 2023) in Jeddah during a courtesy visit by officials from the Commission, led by the NAHCON Deputy Makkah Coordinator, Alhaji Alidu Shutti.

The Diplomat  appreciated NAHCON’s dedication and unwavering commitment towards the successful take-off of airlifting which has been very seamless since the inaugural flight on May 25th till the present, as well as welfare of pilgrims which has also been accorded utmost priority. 

He attributed these great achievements to the proper and meticulous planning by the commission under the leadership of the NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan. 

Kazaure also expressed joy with the cooperation and collaboration between NAHCON and the authority of Saudi Arabian, which he described as instrumental to the successful execution of the annual pilgrimage.

Ambassador Kazaure, in a statement signed by Muhammad Ahmad Musa of the Makkah Operations Office, and made available to newsmen, was confident in NAHCON’s ability to maintain its outstanding performance and urged the commission to improve upon it in future Hajj seasons. 


The Ambassador reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to strengthen its relationship with Saudi Arabia, particularly in the area of Hajj operations, and expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabian authorities for her continuous support.


Earlier in his address,  the NAHCON Makkah Deputy Coordinator, Alhaji Alidu Shutti, appreciated the Consul-General and his team for their selfless services to the Guests of Allah. 


Shutti solicited continuous harmonious working relationship between the Nigerian Consulate in Jeddah and the Commission in the onerous task of serving Nigerian pilgrims.         

      
He pledged that the commission under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan would  leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the interests of the pilgrims are well protected for them to have value for their money.

The courtesy call was attended by Chief of the National Medical Team, Dr. Usman Galadima,  Coordinator, Hajj Savings Scheme, Dr. Aliyu Tanko and the Consulate Staff among others.
