The Kwara State governor,  AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has cautioned fuel markers from hoarding PMS also known as Petrol in order to avoid need-less hardship on the citizens.

AbdulRazaq who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), said hoarding of fuel will ultimately lead to the creation of artificial scarcity of the fuel products in the state and beyond.

It would be recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Monday (May 29, 2023) during his inaugural speech, declared that, ‘fuel subsidy is gone, and it will no longer be sustained.’

The declaration has continued to spark mixed reactions from citizens, stakeholders and oil marketers, as a result of  hoarding fuel, long queues at filling stations across the country, which gave birth to hike in transport fares.

Following this reactions, Governor AbdulRaman, on Tuesday (May 30, 2023) has directed the Kwara task force, leading by the deputy governor of the State, Mr  Koyede Alabi to be embark on supervision and monitoring of any filling station causing hardship by hoarding fuel, warning that the government would not hesitate to seal any erring filling station.
