2023 Hajj: Intending pilgrim dies six days to her departure from Nigeria

Barely six days to depart Nigeria for the 2023 Hajj exercise, an intending pilgrim from Nasarawa state,  Aisha Yahaya Sule, had an accident and died

The late Aisha  Sule was hit down by vehicle on Friday  (May 19, 2023) while trying to cross the express road after completing her medical screening and vaccination ahead of the airlift of the 2023 intending pilgrims from Nasarawa state slated for Thursday 25th May 2023.

The management and staff of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board  Chairman described her death as a great loss to the family and the board.

The board under the leadership of Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura expressed shocked over the incident saying the dead of the Late Aisha is a shocking loss not only to her immediate family but the board and the state in general.

Mallam Almakura in a statement issued to newsmen in Lafia, said the board wishes to condole with the family of late Aisha Yahya and pray Allah to accept her as one who has performed Hajj considering her intention.

The statement also quoted Engineer Abdullahi Sule also condole with the family of the deceased and pray for her eternal rest.

Late Aisha Yahya Sule has since been buried in  accordance with Islam rite at the Abuja street cemetery in Lafia, state.
