…As IESA plans rousing welcome for his first day in office
Barrister Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, the University of Ilorin Registar- Designate will on Friday (April 28, 2023), officially become the 7th substantive Registrar of the better by far University
Meanwhile, an appeal has gone to members of the Ilorin Emirate Staff Association (IESA), University of Ilorin to join the University administration under the leadership of its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole SAN, in ushering the institution’s incoming Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, into his office as he formally assumes duties on Friday (April 28, 2023).
A statement signed by the Secretary-General of the Association, Abubakar Imam,on behalf of the IESA’s Chairman, Prof. Suleiman Funsho Ambali, said that arrangements were being finalised by the Association towards giving Mr Alfanla a befitting welcome to his office and duties as the 7th Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the nation’s most sought-after University.
Prof. Ambali urged members of the Association and their friends to assemble at the Main Gate of the University by 9:30 am to receive the new Registrar and his entourage.
The Chairman,who is also the Deputy Vice Chancellor( Management Services) of the University, added that the new Registrar would thereafter be accompanied by well-wishers to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for a short briefing after which he would be led to his office.
The statement,while urging members of the Association and other well wishers to be punctual, also appealed to all those concerned to be moderate throughout the ceremony.
Mr Alfanla, who hails from Alomimota Compound, Kamaldeen Street,Okekere,Ilorin, is the second son of Ilorin Emirate who would be appointed as the Registrar of the University of Ilorin. The first,who was also the longest serving Registrar of the University, was the late Alhaji Abdulkadir Oba Adebayo Alao,who held the position between 1985 and 1997.
The statement wished Mr Alfanla a very rewarding, peaceful and prosperous tenure of office.
