BREAKING: NAHCON announces 2023 Hajj fare

…releases names of six Airlines to convey pilgrims 

The  National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has announced the fare for the 2023 Hajj exercise from Nigeria to the Saudi Arabia.


Announcing the fare today Friday (April 7, 2023) at the commission’s Hajj House, Head office in Abuja, the NAHCON Chairman,  Alhaji Zikirullah Kunle Hassan, explained that pilgrims across the 36 states are not going to pay the same amount.

Alhaji Hassan disclosed that  pilgrims flying from Yola and Maiduguri to Saudi Arabia will pay N2,800,000 while those flying from other Northern states will pay the sum of N2,919,000.00 only.

The chairman also said the Southern part of the country has six different costs for hajj, revealing that pilgrims from Edo state will pay N2,968,000.00, while those from Ekiti and Ondo states will pay N2,880,000.000.


According to him, pilgrims travelling from Cross River will pay N2,943,000.00, Osun will pay N2,983,000.00 while pilgrims from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states will pay N2,999,000.000. 


He equally announced that pilgrims from the South South and South Eastern States of the country will pay the sum of N2,968,000.00.

The NAHCON Chairman however announced that the selected Airlines to convey prilms this year are Air Peace, Azman Air, Flynas, Aero contractors, Max Air, Arik Air and Value Jet Air.

Announcing the selection also today in Abuja, the Chairman  said the Airlines were selected after approval by President Muhammadu Buhari. 


While disclosing that the first four Airlines will transport pilgrims from the 36 states, FCT and the armed forces, Alhaji Hassan said Arik and Value Jet Airlines will provide chatter service to pilgrims travelling through private tour operators.
