Crown Hill University VC bags another title

In recognition of his invaluable contributions to the growth and development of cultural heritage in the society, the Vice Chancellor of the Crown Hill University (CHU), Prof. Jeleel Olasunkanmi Ojuade has been confered with the prestigious title of “Agba’asa ga Adeen”

The award was presented to him by “Habaabul-Huda Al-Kabariyah As-Solaliyah Al- Qoddiriyah Group of Sufism” in collaboration with “Markaz Sehik Alfa-Ogo Arabic and Islamic Training Centre”, held on Sunday (February 5, 2023) at No 27 Alfa-Ogo Compound, Popogiwa, Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

Highprofile reports that the well attended programme also featured Mawlid N-Nabiyy Celebration, Turbaning Corronation, and Award Presentation, where selected public figures across the country were honoured.

Speaking shortly after the presentation of the award, the convener of the programme, Kaleefah Alfa Ogo, Sheikh Abdulrasheed AbdulHakeem, described Prof Ojuade as an outstanding academic and astute administrator who has been using his wealth of experience to promote cultural heritage in the country and beyond.

Sheikh Abdulhakeem described Prof Ojuade’s choice for the award as a pay back to appreciate his notable achievements in the society.

The cleric attributed the recent appointment of Prof Ojuade as the Vice Chancellor of the Crown Hill University as a manifestation of his numerous contributions to the body of knowledge, to the progress and advancement of the town and gown.

In his response, the awardee, Prof. Ojuade appreciated the organizers of the event and pledged that the recognition would spur him to do more towards uplifting the society using his position, and more importantly, his professional career as a platform.
