The Chairman and Chief Executive of A.A. Rano Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Muhammadu Auwalu, has commended the developmental initiatives of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU).
Alhaji Auwalu stated this on Saturday (March 2, 2024) in his office in Kano, when he played host to the National President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik and his entourage.
The renowned businessman, who apologised for his unavoidable absence at the opening ceremony of the last edition of the Union’s National Conference, said that he was encouraged by the roles the Union has been playing over the years in the promotion of peace and progress of Ilorin Emirate.
He added that the existence of the branches of the Union in Kano State and other parts of the country also confirmed that the Union is in the forefront of the promotion of national integration.
Alhaji Auwalu, who thanked IEDPU for deeming it fit to visit him, assured that the pledge made on his behalf at the last event of the Union would soon be fulfilled as he also promised to do more.
Earlier, the IEDPU President said that the visit was made at the instance of the Emir of Ilorin, who, he said, insisted that the Union must pay the business mogul an appreciative visit.
Alhaji Abdulmalik thanked Alhaji Auwalu for his love for Ilorin Emirate as he assured him that the pledge when fulfilled would be judiciously expended.
Alhaji Abdulmalik was accompanied by the National Vice President, Alhaji AbdulRauf Babatunde Issa and the Chairman of the Kano Branch of the Union, Alh Abdulwahab Abdulraheem.
