The authority of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has approved the promotion of nine staff of the institution to the position of professorial cadre.
The promotions were approved at the 59th Regular Meeting of the Governing Council of the University held on Thursday May 12, 2022.
The ratification followed the recommendations of the Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&PC) which considered the reports of external assessors on each member of staff concerned.
According to a statement signed by the registrar of the University, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, and made available to highprofile news, five were promoted to full Professors while four were promoted to Associate Professors.
The new Professors are Olusola Oladele James, .Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry; Oluwasogo Olalubi, Department of Public Health; Oluwabukola Christiana Dada, Department of Special Education; Mufutau Adeyemi Ajao, Department of Zoology; AbdulRazaq M. Katibi, Department of Arabic and Linguistics.
The Associate Professors are Gafar Olayiwola Olorisade, Educational Management; Shehu AbdulGaniyu Salau, Agricultural Economics & Extension Services; Moshood Zakariyah, English and Linguistics; Isiaka Aliagan, Mass Communication.
