Sheikh Adam and Sheikh Kamaaludeen
OGO Ilorin, a Sociocultural Association responsible for the protection and promotion of Culture, Traditions, Ideals, Norms and Values of Ilorin Emirate, has commended the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for resolving the feud between the followers of Adabi and Markazy Institutes of learning.
OGO Ilorin in a statement jointly signed and made available to newsmen in Ilorin by its National President and National Secretary, Alhaji Murtadha Abdulkareem, and S A Yusuf respectively, appreciated the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Sulu-Gambari for taking the bold step by calling together, the proprietors of the two famous schools, Shaikh Muhammad Kamaaludeen Al-adaby and Shaikh Habeebullah Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory to resolve the lingering feud between the two groups.
Alhaji Abdulkareem, who is popularly known as Adio Babanbariga, explained that OGO Ilorin noted, disap5pointingly, the recurring bickering and unhealthy rivalry among disciples of the two schools and decided to cry for help to the Emir of Ilorin to help find lasting solution to the unfortunate development.
He added that the founders of the two foremost Islamic schools, late Shaikh Muhammad Kamaaludeen Al-adaby and Shaikh Adam Abdullah Al-ilory* never had grudge against each others, hence there is no need for their followers to create one.
Babanbariga explained that Shaikh Kamaal and Shaikh Adam although now late, were among the pride of Ilorin and that the Association would not fold its arms to allow anyone, no matter how highly placed hide behind one finger, to disturb peace and harmonious coexistence among islamic scholars in Ilorin and and the entire people of Kwara state.
While appreciating the support of the numerous stakeholders and personalities who supported the noble cause of the Association, the National President of OGO Ilorin appealed to all Adabbiy and Markazy both home and in diaspora to obey and respect the golden message of the Emir of Ilorin as it has been delivered to them by Shaykh Abdulkadir Muhammad Kamaaludeen Al-Adaby and Shaikh Habbebullah Adam Abdullah Al-ilory.
