The wife of the Kwara State Governor, Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazaq and other distinguished personalities across the country would be honoured at the 2020 Award Presentation and Lecture of Figbadun Sayo Media Entertainments.
Some of the personalities to receive awards include, the Kwara State Police Commissioner, CP Kayode Egbetokun, Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Oladeji, Alhaji Muri Alabi Thunder, Prince Tunde Onijoba and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Ajala.
Other awardees include, Dr Sango-Dare Ayinla, Alhaji Mashood Shittu, Ayobola Olubunmi Olupinla, Otunba Surafudeen Olatunji, Alhaji Abdulmumeen Adua nigba, Alhaji Sa’ad Alawaye and Mrs Elizabeth Animasahun and many others.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Figbadun Sayo Media Entertainments industry, Alhaji Mohammed Olanrewaju Nurudeen said the event is to honour some notable Nigerians that have contributed to the society and the people at different times.
Alhaji Muhammad added that the Awards and lecture programme started since 2007 and has created a platform where important Nigerians are singled out for recognition.
He explained that the essence of the award ceremony is to honour the awardees for their selfless services.
Nurudeen also mentioned that the Award Ceremony would serve as appreciation to the awardees, and also to serve as encouragement to others.
He stated that most of the categories of the people slated for the awards are those who have distinguished themselves in private sectors.
Mohammed however solicited for support from Government at all levels to always support the entertainment industry so that the industry would continue to assist the Government to project it programmes and policies.
He frowned at the attitude of past government in Kwara State, saying that the collaboration between the Entertainment industry and Government is very important to politicians to succeed.
The highprofile figures would be gathered at the programme which will hold on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Fresh Hotel, Fate road, Ilorin by 2:00pm prompt.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi would deliver a lecture on the topic, “the Incessant cases of Rape: Consequences and Solution.”
