The Kwara State Chapter of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ of Nigeria (FIBAN) has elected Comrade Adesemowo Abimbola as the new Chairman of the association.
Other members of the newly constituted executives include, Adesemowo Abimbola Adegogo as chairman; Ramat Lawal Vice chairman; Olatunji Kolawole General Secretary; Olatunji Yusuf Odore
Assistant General Secretary and Fashola Oludare as Treasurer .
Others include, Mohammed Nurudeen (Figbadun-Sayo) Financial Secretary; Olayinka Osayomi as Publicity secretary; Suleiman Ogboye, Organizing Secretary; Hammed Khadija as welfare Director and Koledowo Omoyatuwo, emerged as Chief Whip.
The National President of FIBAN, Desmond Abiodun Nwachukwu speaking in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State at the inauguration ceremony commended the members of the association for the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited during the electoral process.
Desmond acknowledged that Kwara State Chapter of FIBAN is blessed with members and leaders who have worked assiduously for the sustainability and progress of the union.
The National President while congratulating the new executives, charged them to get prepare for challenges and to be ready to take the association to a greater height.
He told all members of the FIBAN in the State to continue to support the new executives, and to always seek for good advises from their leaders in the State.
His word :” I thank God you are blessed with the crop of leaders that were blessed with better wisdom in Kwara State. I contacted them for useful advises and their advises have benefited me alot in my administration “.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of FIBAN, Alhaji Adeniyi Dankazeem in his goodwill message congratulated the new executives, saying “Today’s inauguration is the outcome of peace and excellent. In Kwara FIBAN ,there is peace and unity”.
Alhaji Adeniyi however solicited for the support of all the members for the new executives, adding that “There is a need for us to continue to unite in the interest of our dear organization”.
He thanked the National President of the association for personally attended the inauguration of Kwara New leadership and prayed God to grant him a journey mercy back to his destination.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the Kwara FIBAN, Mr Adesemowo Abimbola Adegogo appreciated the roles of the leaders of the association in the successful electoral process being experienced during the election.
Mr Abimbola promised that his tenure would witness more development in terms of membership strength and programmes that would better the lives of the association and members.
