Association of Professional Plumbers of Nigeria, Kwara state chapter, has expelled five of it’s members over allegation of parallel executive and other acts that cntravene the standing rules of the association in the state.
The expulsion, which consumed the former President and Secretary of the association was contained in a statement signed by the state President of the association, Alhaji S. Onigbari and Secretary, Azeez Tayo.
According to the statement the expelled members are one time President of the Association Mr Clement Ojo Orire Alhaji Babatunde ALABl and Mallam Taofeeq jimoh, Mr Adesina Adewojo and Mallam Saka Ahmed.
The Association said in the statement that all the affected members have received letters to that effect from the legal adviser of the association.
The statement added that the expulsion was in accordance with article 7, section 7.11 of the association constitution
The association thereforeq directed the expelled members to surrender or submit all the state association properties in their custody with immediate effect.
In a swift reaction, one of the expelled members, one time President of the Union, Mr Clement Ojo-Orire described their expulsion as illegal, baseless which he said in a vehement term that it lacks merit in all ramifications.
Ojo-Orire said it is only court of law that possesses power to expel any member of the Association.
