Dr. Olajide Joseph Adebola, the Social Semocratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate in the last Saturday election in kwara state has congratulated the governor-elect, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abdulrzaq of All Progressives Congress (APC) over his victory.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to you on your success at the gubernatorial polls.
Dr Adebola, in a press release made available to journalists in kwara state on Sunday, felicitated with the Governor-elect and wished him a successful tenure of office even as he urged him to administer good governance to the State.
“The people of Kwara were able to freely make a choice as to whom they desire to govern them; and that by itself gladdens my heart. By choosing you, the citizens of Kwara State have entrusted you with a great responsibility at a time of desperation for good governance and social justice.
“You now owe it to the people of Kwara to promote unity, peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
“It is my sincere hope that your Excellency would run a merit -based administration involving all stakeholders and devoid of political, social, religious, tribal and cultural sentiments to immediately ameliorate the devastating effect of extreme poverty in the State.
“In my personal capacity, I hope to work together with other stakeholders in Kwara State in the spirit of solidarity and unity to foster the development of our beloved State.
