TRAFFIC AND VEHICULAR MOVEMENT INFORMATION IN RELATION TO THE 34TH CONVOCATION CEREMONIES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN
You are welcome to the 34th Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Ilorin which will hold on Tuesday, 23rd October, 2018. Please read the following traffic instructions carefully in order to help us make your experience a pleasant one.
For the purpose of the Convocation Ceremonies, there will be two entry points into the University. These are the Tanke entry point and the UITH entry point.
Please drive carefully and exercise patience as we have made provisions to ease the expected traffic situation.
For those entering through the main Gate at the Tanke axis, please Keep Left if you have the Parking Permit and Keep Right if you dont.
Parking is arranged on the basis of arrival, obey this simple rule.
You will be directed and guided to the available parking lot as you arrive.
Please obey instructions from the traffic control officers.
Slow down at road junctions, intersections, pedestrian crossings and road corners and wait until you are sure of a clear passage ahead.
Do not overtake at any point.
Maintain your lane at all times.
Towing vehicles are available for mechanically faulty vehicles and vehicles that violate our traffic rules.
Use the Horn only when essential and do not use it in a silence zone.
Maintain an adequate distance from the vehicle ahead of you to avoid collision if that vehicle suddenly slows down or stops.
Do not apply brake suddenly except for safety reasons.
The use of phone while driving on the campus is prohibited.
Always give way to Pedestrians if there is danger to their safety.
