The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has described a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Barrister Ahmed Mustapha Akanbi
as a man of proven integrity and pedigree.
The Emir gave the description on Monday (August 13, 2018) when Akanbi paid him a courtesy visit in his palace to seek for his royal blessings.
Alhaji Sulu Gambari said Barrister Ahmed Mustapha Akanbi is a true son of his father, late Justice Mustapha Akanbi who he said was so dear to him and the entire Emirate when he was alive.
He disclosed that late Justice Mustapha Akanbi’s contributions to the Emirate in particular and the whole of Africa in general were very enormous and profound, saying that the people of Kwara and Nigeria would continue to remember his spectacular roles in the areas of service to God and humanity.
The Kwara number one monarch expressed satisfaction that the young Akanbi shares so many things in common with his late father who was widely reputed as very sincere, loving, focused, considerate, helpful and above all as a man that hated corruption with passion.
The Emir was confident that the young Akanbi possesses all the attributes his late father was known for and assured him of his support and assistance any time the need arises.
In the same vein, the Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Danborno, who gave the governorship aspirant and his teeming lovers and supporters a rousing welcome in his residence in Ilorin, prayed God to grant Akanbi all his heart desires.
In his separate addresses at the two places he visited, Barrister Akanbi explained that he was out to sensitise people of the state on need to get their PVC before the closing date of the registration which is slated for August 17th, 2018.
He described PCV as a potent tool in the hands of the electorate that will give them the ample opportunity to elect candidates of their choice come 2019 general elections.
Barrister Ahmed Mustapha Akanbi therefore thanked the Emir and Sheikh Danborno for all their encomiums on him and for extolling good virtues of his late father with a promise to maintain and sustain all the good virtues his father possessed for the attainment of human and community developments in the state.
