Eulogy as Jimoh Ayinla marks 61

It was funfair on Sunday when friends, families and well wishers converged to celebrate the 61st birthday of Dr. Jimoh Ayinla, a senior lecturer at the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin and a philanthropist.

The event which took place at his resident along Odota area of Ilorin has in attendance creme de lacum in the academia, politicians and friends across the state.

Speaking with our reporter at the event, the celebranr, Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla thank God for a well fulfilled life.

“I feel fulfilled today to witnessed 61 years on earth. I thank God for his grace. The journey hasn’t been easy, but in all ramifications, there is cause to thank Allah.

” Life has been full of ups and down. In fact it takes the glory and grace of God to sails this far. At time you had a pleasant moment while other times you experienced the other side,” he said.

He added that there are bad memories , good memories and mixture of both as God had subjects his creators to undergo such test.

“There are bad and good moment of life. Allah has said it in the holy book that all my creature will pass through test. Even being rich in life is a test and looking today, I want to thank Almighty God for a well spent life.

” I initiated my foundation all in the bid to assist the least privileged people in the society. At a point I had to queried myself where we take all these worldly wealth to. Am satisfied with what God has given me. I can say am fulfilled. Am not rich nor poor.

“I want to live the rest of my life for the downtrodden. I want to be remembered for good things. I want to be remembered as a person who has come to this world to touch lives,” he concluded.

Also speaking at the event, the honorable commissioner for education and human capita development, Hajia Bisola Abdusalam describes her father as a disciplinarian per excellent.

“My Dad is an easy going person, a dictum of value who has the love of every body at heart. Indeed we are very happy to have him as our father. He has taught us how to rise to the challenges of life, ” the commissioner said.

Similarly, the wife of the celebrant, Hajia Aisat Omowumi Ahmed thank God for given her such a wonderful husband as not marrying him would have been a greatest mistakes of her life.

“I thank God I have not misses him. I was introduced to him during my HSC by my brother Alhaji Toyin Alanamu. I do came down to Ilorin from Lagos then as my Dad insist I must marry from Ilorin.

” I turned down his first toast and proposer to me, but he kept coming and he eventually won my heart. My husband doesn’t take any no sense even with his wifr, he doesn’t takes nonsense, ” she said.

In the same vein, Engr. Kaseem Ayinla said he had tapped the act of service to humanity from his Dad.

“Each time people see me multitasking, for those who know my father, they usually attribute this trait to my Daddy’s ingenuity which am proud of. He is my role model and mentor.

” He has nurtured us in a way that we van face the world ourselves especially given us undiluted education, ” Kaseem concluded.
