The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi has called on the youths to stand tall in the quest to change the State and the nation for good.
Mr Alabi made the call today (August 8, 2019) in Ilorin while playing host to members of the Progressives Youth of Baruten led by its President, Mallam AbdulAzeez Lawal Biriso in his office.
The Deputy, according to a statement signed by his Chief Press SexretSec, Mr Bunmi Adesoyin, said the Youth are the future and have to work towards making the necessary change for the betterment of the Nation.
He implored them to make use of social media to make the needed impact and contribute their quota to the development of the State and the Nation.
Mr Alabi admonished them to be advocate and play leading role in the fight against drug abuses common among the Youth.
The Deputy Governor described as disheartening the rate at which Nigerian youths gets involve in different drug abuse cases home and abroad.
He apologised if they are angry with him but he made it known that he is not provoking the youth to anger but for them to do the rightful, use their energy positively and make the state great again.
Mr Alabi tasked them to change their mindset from accruing materials things that would not add any value to humanity rather they should impact positively on others.
Earlier, the President of the Group, Mallam AbdulAzeez Lawal Biriso highlighted some of the challenges affecting the area calling for collaboration between the government and international agencies to change things for better in the area.
Mallam Biriso later presented blue print and position paper on revenue projection and how to improve the area.
