Kwara football stakeholders today (July 6, 2019) at the Kwara State House of Assembly, advocated for the entrenchment of club management culture that will support the indigenization of Kwara United FC, especially the playing staff.
The Public Hearing, held at the Press Center, Shehu Usman Complex, Kwara State House of Assembly was instituted by the House Committee on Youth, Sports, Culture, Tourism and Information to draw a roadmap for ensuring the club is repositioned for excellence.
Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Awolola Ayokunle in his opening address said that the forum was for fact finding, and not to witch-hunt anybody.
He said that the dwindling performance of the club calls for serious concern, especially to justify the investment of government on the club.
The hearing was the first major attempt by the House to address issues surrounding the performance of the club since it’s introduction in 1997.
