Imam Is’haq Jubril
Members of Nasrul Lahil Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT on Sunday prayed for peaceful and successful 2019 elections.
The Chief Missioner of NASFAT Tanke Branch, Ilorin, Imam Is-haq Jubril while leading the prayers, called for calm following the postponement of the general elections by a week.
It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday re-scheduled Presidential & National Assembly Elections for February 23 while Governorship, States House of Assembly & FCT Area Council Elections will now hold on March 9.
He urged Nigerians not to sell their votes, adding that politicians will not offer cash for votes if votes will not count.
The NASFAT Missioner further cautioned youths against violence before, during and after all elections.
Imam Jubril urged Kwarans to come out en masse on Saturday to cast their ballots peacefully.
He reminded Politicians that the corporate existence of Nigeria
was important than their political ambitions.
The cleric advised politicians to eschew politics of bitterness and what he termed ‘do or die politics’.
